New Everything

I’m being worked like a dog. Things are getting so rough at work that I had to sleep 18 hours to catch up. I feel better now than I have in a very long time.

That said, I’ve also taken some important steps in my life to make me feel empowered. I’ve cut bad rubbish out. I’ve needed to remove negative influences from my life so that I might start in a positive direction with my new life, doing what I need to do to ensure the success of myself and my own.

Anger

I do think anger is a good thing to rid yourself of. It’s not worth carrying around. It drags you down. It weighs on your ability to see that which is truly important. I let it run it’s course, vile and pure as it is, then I drop it as quickly as it comes. I leave it alone, because those who wish to cause me to be angry really aren’t worth being angry with. I can overcome any obstacle thrown in my way. Creating obstacles for others is far more time consuming than overcoming them. For that reason I don’t concern myself with such petty people and their petty games. I actually have a life to live. I have a family. I have people who love me. I have a wonderful baby boy on the way. My life isn’t callous and hollow, my life has meaning.

Crap VPS

I’d like to take a quick minute to apologize for the crap VPS I’m hosting this blog off of. Apparently, nginx is too much for it to handle. Once I’m better established, I’ll seek new alternatives to this garbage. Until then, just bear with me.

Walmart: Modern Indentured Service

Surprisingly, I’ve had people defend Walmart’s business ethics and tactics in regular conversation before. I’ve heard people brush off egregious wrongs against society as being “the norm” or “acceptable, or even necessary business practice”. I’m here to tell you; those people are assholes.

Walmart destroys the working class. This is undeniable. Those who are forced into an employer/employee relationship with Walmart (usually due to a serious lack of options, as Walmart destroys small businesses), are always on the suffering end. Walmart profits greatly from employing people they have no intention of giving raises, insurance, or potential for advancement. What is also interesting, but not surprising, is that many female Walmart employees are beginning to discover that their male counterparts are making more money doing the same jobs that they are.

Spree

In case you haven’t noticed, I’ve been on a blogging spree since reviving this dead space. I fully intend to continue my spree so long as I’m able, even though it won’t be as easy as it has in the past. Right now I require physical access to my desktop machine in order to update, whereas previously I could update from my desktop, phone, or any other machine I deemed fit to remotely access my favorite machine.

Egypt Rockets Israel over Gaza

Egypt Urges Push for Gaza Peace as Rockets Hit Israel via Businessweek

This is something I’ve felt strongly about for some time. I’ve been irritated that people seem to believe zionism is some God-given right to the jewish people. Bullshit. They have no more right to that land than early American settlers had to the plots they “purchased” from Native Americans for handfulls of beads.

Get over yourselves, you zionism peddling fascists. If anything, the holocaust was only brought about because fascists know their own. I realize how brutal of an assertion that is, but I stand by what I say.

Updates as They Come

Alright, I might’ve worked the kinks out of this new setup. Using “Unison”, syncing between my Debian VPS and home Win7 main station.

Keep your eyes peeled.
