I’m going to make this very clear from the outset: Google has every right to refuse to crawl/link to my content. It’s their choice as a company to decide what content is acceptable.

Google has decided that certain content is not appropriate for the masses.

That said, I do believe a government database should also exist that mirrors the functionality of Google, but by law is required to accept data from any US source. It should be searchable by citizens and should not be censored. In the very least, it’s likely the opposing databases would cover the gaps and produce a whole subset of internet search results.

I was originally going to write with some sort of purpose or intent, but I decided against it last minute. Instead, I’m going to do my usual attention-deficit trouncing of rationality. Not that what I write is meaningless, but it’s always better if I don’t try to pretend I can stay on topic for longer than five minutes. I mean, comfort-wise, when writing. Not that the result is so much better. I’m sure cohesive text is always more pleasant to peruse than the jumbled spaghetti I end up throwing into the ether.

According to Reuters’ latest reportings, Judge David A. Faber has found distributors of opiate medications (Namely McKesson Corp, AmerisourceBergen, and Cardinal Health) not responsible for fueling the raging opioid epidemic in West Virginia.

Considering recent events involving the Sackler family, it makes one wonder if the drug distributors are just really good at obscuring their criminal behavior or if David A. Faber is going to retire really cushy on Pharmaceutical kickbacks. The recent judgement of David Faber really doesn’t give a lot of hope to Americans that justice is actually available to them.

I think I originally had a plan for this post, then jumped the shark shortly after I wrote the first sentence and subsequently hated it. It’s fine. Whatever. If I don’t get around to writing that out today I’ll bang it out eventually. God knows this thing never ends. It won’t stop, can’t stop, isn’t stopping for anything.

I’ve noticed that coming by actual good memes these days is really difficult. Your average meme-sharing platform is rife with awful opinions and sad excuses for comedy, and I’m having a hard time finding the good stuff. Reddit is a veritable wasteland of comedy with morality police shutting down even a minor whiff of laughter. 4chan looks really tired these days. Really, really tired. It’s nothing but “race war” instigation and pretty much every sort of debauchery you can imagine. Facebook was never good, and I’ll never use that pile of shit ever again. Telegram is basically just where actual 4chan nazis go to talk about how “(((they))) want to control society with vaccines” or other such similar nonsense. I guess I’m just out of touch with the meme scene. And don’t get me started on Instagram. If you suggest Instagram as a source of memes then you’re even more out of touch than I am.

First of all- Fuck you. The government doesn’t have any money. All government money comes from TAXES paid by American consumers. We should have input on this sort of billionaire welfare. For instance- If we allow this bullshit, they should provide good union jobs as a result. If not, then fuck you, deal is off. Period.

So you have a raspberry pi. Maybe you have two. You might have a VPS as well. Maybe two. Maybe three. You could also have a x86 linux build or a SparcStation laying around, I dunno. Hell, you might be hoarding Unix or Linux PC’s for all I know. But what happens when these suckers run 24/7 and collect and document events from all sorts of services that are running?

I’ve been spending a lot of time away for business this month. This volume of travel is a system shock compared to the last few years’ COVID lockdowns, working from home, and doing everything remote. I remember years ago when I first started this job I actually really liked traveling for work. I would get sent to cool new places, at least one exotic one, and I’d get relief from my very strife-ridden and chaotic home life at that time. It would be my escape. I’d get to sit at a bar and drink beers while eating good food and not feel like I’m walking on eggshells for a few days out of the month.
